General Fund
The general fund covers the operating costs including but not limited to rent, office supplies, sorting supplies, cleaning supplies, staff salaries, transportation and mileage, fundraising and fundraising supplies, internet, recruitment, volunteer meals, administration, marketing, accounting, training, insurance, and program expenses.
This fund basically holds everything that allows Rooted to function as an organization. In order to live out our mission, we need open doors, smiling people, and practical supplies. These things cannot happen without the generous support of people like you.
Rooted is a 501(c)(3) organization, so your donation is tax deductible. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
Safe House Fund
While we build the Safe House, you can help us by contributing to the endowment fund, which will help us pay for the ongoing costs of the Safe House. Once the house is up and running, we will need to pay for things like staffing, maintenance, and utilities.
Click here to donate to the Rooted Safe House, or mail a check to the Sturgis Area Community Foundation at 214 W. Chicago Road, Sturgis, MI 49091. You can write “Rooted Safe House Financial Campaign” in the memo. Our preference is that donations above $1000 are sent as checks to avoid online processing fees, but you can use whichever method you are most comfortable with.

Basic Needs Inventory
We take all kinds of basic need items for children, including but not limited to clothes, toiletries, and bedding. We need a steady supply of diversified items so we can offer children everything they need, but we will keep a running list of most wanted items in the “Emergency Needs” box below. Items can be purchased new and dropped off or sent to Rooted. Our mailing address is:
